Asphalt based residential roofing also benefits from the addition of our BH5900 series of asphalt modifiers. Added in small percentages, the BH5900 series of products add flexibility and elasticity to oxidized asphalt. The addition lowers the glass transition temperature and increases the tensile strength of the asphalt, enhancing the asphalt's performance characteristics as a shingle sealant, laminating adhesive or as a modified, filled coating for base and cap sheets.

Our polymer-modified tape and dot series (BH5800) functions in a wide range of uses from adhering traffic delineators to roadways, to adhering rigid board insulations together and many uses in between. This formula series can also be provided in hot melt form to adhere and seal a wide range of substrates.

Pavement expansion joints, below grade waterproofing and industrial insulation adhesives name a few of the uses for the BH5700 series of two-component urethane-modified asphalt products. With tenacious adhesion and highly durable, rubberized properties, this series has what you need. These products are manufactured in self-leveling, spray, roll or trowel grades.

Precast concrete structures are often used in pipeline, manhole and other water and wastewater situations. As these precast products are produced in segments, they then need a host of sealants and protective coatings to seal and protect the structures. Blackhawk's Hawk-Seal (BH5800 series) and Hawk-Wrap (BH5800 series) products work to seal the internal annular space (Hawk-Seal) of the concrete joints and externally seal the joint from infiltration with Hawk-Wrap. These preformed sealants, in addition to our trowel grade pipe joint mastic (BH5401) and damp proof coating (BH5011), all aid in proper installation of these precast concrete products.
